About us and Zen-Beez
Zen-Beez was born out of our passion for bees and also our deep sadness for how bees are actually exploited and treated badly by some. We use a gentle beekeeping approach, and never compromise our bees for anything and we treat them with the upmost respect. Our business model is completely “unconventional and we follow the Permaculture Principles of ‘Earth Care’, ‘People Care’ and ‘Fair Share.
Who are we
We are a Husband and Wife team Juen and Anne-Marie, we have three children and live in rural Waikato, New Zealand. We are both Registered Beekeepers. We both hold NZQA qualifications in Apiculture and Horticulture. We have our Certificate of Audit from Quality Auditing Specialists Ltd for despatching honey. Our beekeeping practices are both sustainable and gentle and we are constantly working towards being a completely sustainable and environmentally friendly business. Our bees depend on it.

What we do
We hire out our honey bees
We want people to be able to experience the joys of having a beehive in their gardens by hosting one of Zen-Beez hives. Bees are living creatures and must be nurtured and cared for holistically. Hosting a beehive is the perfect solution to having bees on your property without having to become a beekeeper and you also get to have your own pure raw honey that you know exactly where it comes from.
